Client Testimonial – Honeymoon In Fiji

Recently one of our clients, Genese and Paul, traveled to Fiji for a honeymoon of a lifetime at Tokoriki Island Resort

Here is what they said:

GlobalNomad (Brit) was my honeymoon lifesaver! We were stuck on where to go for our honeymoon for months and within 1 week of communicating with Brit, we had 2 different potential travel itineraries and then shortly after had made our decision on FIJI! Tokoriki Island Resort was even better than we expected. The personal touches they put on everything is what really makes you feel like you are at “home”, everyone knows your name from the second you arrive! Brit coordinated everything for us, from our helicopter transfer from the airport, to our excursions off the island, to sending all of our information to our resort so they knew exactly when to expect us. Going to a place you have never been before can be a little nerve racking but because Brit was so helpful and informative, we felt so comfortable with her expertise guiding the way. Both of our off island excursions were fantastic! Snorkeling trip to Monoriki Island was stunning and the island hopping trip to Cloud 9 was the most fun we had! Tokoriki is truly for relaxing and detaching from the world (no wifi or tvs in the burres). It was so romantic and peaceful, we did not want to leave! I cannot thank Brit enough for doing what she does, she laid out all of our options and was so helpful with my million questions right up until we were on our way to the airport. It makes me want to travel more just so I can use her services more often, she is fantastic!!!

Travel agent take: Fiji is the most convenient island to get to in the South Pacific – especially if you are coming from the West Coast. There is a nonstop overnight flight from Los Angeles to Nadi on Fiji Airways. Paying $900 or less for round-trip flights to Fiji is a steal. I recommend spending at least a week in this destination. Like Hawaii, there is never a bad time to visit. In all likelihood, you will want to stay on another island so taking boat or helicopter transfers from Nadi is a must. These transfers can be costly. It doesn't hurt to look into using miles for domestic flights within Fiji if you are going to more remote islands. You can always combine Fiji with New Zealand or Australia if you have more vacation time and are looking to discover more than 1 country. Fiji is truly ideal for couples looking for romance and adventure in tropical paradise – and are wiling to splurge a bit!
